What is a Developmental Educator?

Developmental Educators are Allied Health Disability Specialists

Developmental Educators (DEs) are an NDIS approved profession for supporting individuals on the autism spectrum, and those with other developmental disabilities, and their families to achieve their individual developmental, social and learning goals.

As Allied Health professionals, the role of a DE is to support and empower children and adults, with a disability, to reach their full potential.

Developmental Educators must have a disability-specific university degree, at either bachelor or masters level, and be registered with Developmental Educators Australia Inc.
